Course Description 
 
Students will examine the geography, history and tradition, economics, daily life, literature and arts; as well as the role of diferent regions in the world today.  In addition, this course will help students better understand how diverse cultural traditions have affected their lives, directly and indirectly.

Class Expectations and Policies

  • Respect others’ property and learning environment
  • Be prepared by bringing all needed materials
  • Listen and be polite to other people
  • Obey all class and school rules

Make-up Work Policy

 

Students can pick up assignments from absences in the absent tray.  The make-up work will be due the following class period.  For example, if a student misses class on Monday, they must pick up missed work on Wednesday, and turn in the work on Friday.  If the work is not turned in on Friday, it will be considered late.

 

Late Work Policy

 

Late work is any work that is not completed when collected.  Work turned in after it is collected or at the end of the school day is considered late.  Students will receive 75% of the grade earned for late work turned in by the next class period.  Students will receive 50% of the grade earned for late work turned in after the next class period described above.  Deadlines will be announced when late work will no longer be accepted.

In addition, a student can retake or redo two major graded assessments each     18-week grading period.
